Happy Easter!

Introducing…SNUGGLES, our little Easter bunny!!

I hope you all enjoyed a hippity-hoppity great Easter long weekend like we did!

Instead of our usual camping trip, we decided to stay home this year.  We did however manage to get out and enjoy the great outdoors on the two fine days we had.  On Good Friday, we took the kids into the greater Hobart area and went on a long bike ride.  We even cooked up some pancakes for lunch on the jetty!

On Easter Sunday, we went for a long drive to the most southern area of Tasmania and did a spot of 4 wheel driving.

There is SO MUCH beautiful scenery in Tassie!

By the way, I thought I’d follow up on my Triangle Patchwork Box Pouch and let you know that I ended up unpicking the lining and re-stitching it!

I’m VERY glad I did as now the zipper works perfectly. I’m going to gift this box pouch to my sister for her upcoming birthday so sshhh…don’t say a word!!

As it turns out, I’ve been doing quite a bit of unpicking recently!

I’ve had this table runner sitting in my pile of UFP’s (unfinished projects) for a year or so now, and considering I’ve only been sewing for two years, that’s quite some time!!  Anyway, I decided I should finish it.  I straight line quilted it on my little old Janome but wasn’t completely happy with the binding so I redid it.

The fabric I used was an orphaned jelly roll – in this case, 20 x 2.5 inch strips of fabric in quite a disheveled state – that I found in the clearance section of Spotlight. I rescued it and made the table runner following this pattern on allpeoplequilt.

This week, I’m hoping to get a bit more quilting finished on my Medallion quilt plus pin baste another quilt top. Well, that’s the plan anyway…

Have a great day! Deb 🙂
