Loving my Aviatrix

Some things take a little while to aquire a taste for…even quilts 😉

It’s not that I ever really disliked my Aviatrix Medallion Quilt, it’s just a combination of factors including waning end-of-year motivation and my earlier experience of too scant seams which you can read about here.

Anyway, I’m pleased to tell you that I am now enjoying this quilt as it starts to take shape. I am attending a series of classes with the incredibly lovely and talented Jess Frost (The Elven Garden) at my favourite local fabric store Frangipani Fabrics.

It has taken me quite a few hours to get to where I needed to be for my fourth class.

After fixing up my hst border, I have now added on my Border 2 blocks:

and my Border 3 x-plus blocks:

The next border is some lovely log cabins!

I’ll be sure to keep you posted,

Deb 😉
