My Aviatrix Medallion Quilt continues to grow this week with the addition of Border 4 – comprising of tiny neutral grey squares, and Border 5 – forty colourful log cabins.
It’s pretty hard to get a complete shot of this growing quilt – it now measures at 66 1/2 inches square with one colourful border to go. The final measurement of this quilt will be 80″ square.
I’m enjoying this beautiful quilt more and more as it grows although it has been incredibly time consuming making all of those blocks!
The next colourful border is butterfly blocks which I’m looking forward to starting at my next class with Jess Frost (The Elven Garden) this weekend.
I also received some wonderful news last week that I was one of the winners for October’s A Lovely Year of Finishes. I won a free PDF pattern from the lovely Melissa of Sew Bittersweet Designs. For a person who rarely wins anything, this was a big thrill for me!
Thanks Shanna (Fiber of All Sorts) and Melissa for hosting this wonderful linky party. Through this link up, I have been able to discover many wonderful and inspiring quilting blogs and have received so much positive encouragement.
I really appreciate this support as I continue on my quilting journey.
Deb 🙂
Lovely Deb, just lovely, I’m stuck for words, also a big congratulations on your win too. Sending love and best wishes, Heather XX

This is stunning Deb! You have inspired me to keep working on my Aviatrix – I am so far behind I was going to turn it into a cushion – but I think I’ll persevere now as it is such a beautiful quilt. xB
